Provision of Resources
I purchase software licenses for the professional examination software that is used in schools today. This allows me to separate questions and mark schemes by topic. Each program is specific to both the board and the syllabus.
Students are welcome to any past paper questions and mark schemes that are relevant to their current course. I will also set homework from these programmes which is normally put onto a memory stick. These memory sticks need to be provided by the students. These programmes are essential as most of the time the students cannot grasp the questions and how to deal with them.
If you require hard copies of past papers or mark schemes then these will be provided at 5p per A4 sheet. Any electronic copies of past papers or mark schemes are free.
I will also provide syllabus specific books for the lessons. If you wish to have a home copy then I am happy to purchase the book on your behalf and this will be provided to you at cost.
Lesson Duration & Homework
Lessons are typically 1 hour long. The lesson will comprise of either notes, explanations and practice examination questions backed up with mark schemes.
Homework is normally set unless clients specify that they do not wish this to be set. Homework consists of learning the material taught in the lesson and examination questions or worksheets to reinforce the information. I would normally go through the homework with the student in the next lesson.
If students wish work to be marked outside of the lesson then I am happy to do this but there will be a charge of £10 per hour.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
I do understand that cancellations occur. I operate a firm policy on this matter. I require 48 hours notice for either a cancellation or a lesson rescheduling.
If there is less that 48 hours notice but more than 24 hours, I reserve the right to charge for ½ the cost of the session. However, if less than 24 hours notice is given then I reserve the right to charge for the full cost of the session.
In the event that you may need to cancel a lesson, you need to text or telephone me on 07722 510681.
If a client wishes to reduce the time period of a previously booked lesson then the same rules will apply.
Lesson Rescheduling
If a lesson needs to be rescheduled, then I am happy to offer this providing that there is a slot available.
If a slot is not available then the booking will be put into a pool and it will be offered at any available slots that I may have available.
